Darren did a fantastic job fitting a strong shelf in the kitchen, a new work surface in the external office and removing the decking around the office and making good. He was helpful, friendly and carried out the work just as we instructed. He worked professionally, arriving on time and leaving everywhere clean and tidy. He went a step further as well, helping with a few small jobs that needed doing. We would happily recommend him.

I wish to thank 'Rated People' for providing me with such outstanding people as Ben and Nathan. Not only were they a delight to have around the house, but their attention to detail and superb finish, exceeded my expectations. It is rare these days, to find such young guys who pride themselves on perfection. They're a great team and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone considering tiling or re-tiling. Dave did a teriffic job clearing up my very overgrown garden and accomplished in just a few hours a job I had been ignoring for months. He was very prompt to reply to my posting and appeared in the garden just a couple of days later. He did such a good job he's coming back to build us a bike shed and sort out the flowerbeds. Great job, thank you Dave!

The job was to tile a balcony. The work was very well planned and executed. We were advised about options on layout and job progress. I recommend Star Tiling for any Tiling work

Attended promptly but did not conplete all the work I asked for. Just changed a fuse and replaced a light switch. When I asked him to return to complete the work he was very reluctant to do so.

This tiler turned up on time to quote, fitted us in at short notice and worked the weekend to do the job. I am an engineer and the job has to be right. Claxton did a fantastic job and I will use them again and recommend this company.

Shortly after finishing our renovation the floor began to lift, after a 2-year battle and almost court they admitted it was a fitting fault. Not ideal for a 12k job. Now our sink has fallen in, turns out he has used the world's smallest bit of wood and some sealant to fix it to the underside of our granite worktops rather than correctly fitting it using the fixings on the actual sink. Add to this, gaps between drawers and misaligned cupboards and you get the idea.

We have found drainage problems which the insurance company will not honour due to incorrect installation during this project. This has cost us dearly.

I didn't have the work done. They came across as unprofessional and pushy. I can't coment on the quality of the work but I can coment on the quote process. Just verbal price. When I pushed for an email quote I just got the price again and little else. Nothing about what they were going to do as part of the job. I expect better. The last few tradesmen I have had on Rated have been excellent full written quotes and professional from the start. These guys even had to ask if they could borrow a tape measure!
