George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. So I've been in carpentry since I left school and all other aspects of the building trade. Great communication; very quick & clear. Visited to give us a quote & explained next steps. When I was uncontactable due to a problem with my phone (that S1 didn't know about), they tried various methods of getting in touch: voicemail messages, texts, and even calling round in person & leaving messages with our next door neighbour! Good work was completed on time. Only minor gripe was some old paint flakes left lying that I thought would have been cleared up. Would definitely use S1 again though.

I wouldn't? recommend this firm as they promise to give you a disc containing still and moving pictures of your drains but they don't appear to know how to operate their camera. Consequently I only received a disc containing corrupted files, and when they re-took images of my drains i did not receive a file at all. And when I queried if a section of the relined drains was properly sealed they failed to return to my house. I recommend anyone not to part with any money until completely satisfied.

George Bell came to work on some damp related issues in my flat in feb. since having completed the works the problems which first occurred have turned worse and George has been unwilling to get back in contact with me, despite chasing him for 5 months which only reaffirms that the job was poorly undertaken.
