James asked plenty of questions, to ensure the best end result possible, and he did not attempt to 'up-sell' me on additional work. Now completed, it is obvious that James and his team took real care to do the best job possible. GLS hold themselves to high standards, and I would recommend them without a second thought. Family run business. Have been a bricklayer for 30 years and now my son has followed in my foot steps. I have always been proud of my work especially conservation. I have recently joined rated people because I have had enough of the site work and feel its time to slow down and offer my experience to private work. I have done private work in the past and always ensured works were completed on time,at a reasonable rate and took pride in my work. I am a registered company and can be found on company house. Simon was professional from the outset, talked through the job and gave advice to my original plan then provided a very reasonable quote. A lovely job. Carl and his team worked with me to find a date with my tricky schedule and we’re really prompt and polite in everything from arriving on time, clearing up, getting started and working hard. Carl has checked I’m happy and is coming back to do two tiny things that I wanted changed (not his fault) which I really appreciate. We had new decking and a raised bed and the team have listened to what we wanted before starting.

We hired Bailey for a complete landscaping overhaul and could not be happier with the results. Phil is an excellent tradesman - we had him replace some skirting boards, door frames and picture rails in 2 rooms. He was very reliable, reasonably priced and worked to our budget, his craftsmanship was very good, he was a quick (and tidy) worker, and he gave us plenty of extra advice and tips for other rooms. Additionally, he went out of his way to help us arrange getting some door restored by one of his contacts. Would thoroughly recommend and have saved his details for use in the future! Thanks Phil!
