George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. SMK turned up promptly after I posted the leaking bathroom ceiling following Storm Ciaran last November. The roof repair/ceiling work was agreed to be no more than £15,800. The scaffolding went up but within 48 hrs they discovered rotten wood under the tiles and the quote doubled another £15k. They demanded the extra money but after £8,450 I called a halt. They said they had replaced the woodwork but there are woodworm visible rafters. The guttering and ceilings are incomplete.
