George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. Tony and his team just completed a small kitchen extension which transformed our house. Our cramped dark kitchen is now an airy welcoming space. We had worked with architects and put out to competitive tender. Tony’s price was fair, clear and he was clearly interested in the project. He kept to his price, regardless of the various twists and turns that we encountered in the 13 week build. The craftsmanship of his team is top class - from foundations to finishing they were thorough and precise.

Truly awful experience. The garage conversion was ok (bar the space around the electrical back boxes being stuffed with newspaper) but the flat refurbishment was a disaster. It started ok but as the tasks became more complex, the quality of work declined. The kitchen needed 3 fits, the bathroom has had to be rebuilt, the wiring has dropped into the walls, the joinery is execrable and the radiators don’t work. The job also took 16 weeks rather than 8.

We decided to contract Hugh to replaster the front room in our normal sized and quite dated terraced house. After giving us a very reasonable quote the job then turned out to be far more difficult than we all first thought, but the end price was still extremely reasonable given the work that had to be done.
