A quick, efficient and friendly set of guys. I had them in to clean and paint my mums fence, and then she asked them to do some jet washing and further painting around the garage. William and his sons built a new fence and replaced our patio. They are very hard working and friendly. and dealt well with our difficult neighbour! They completed the job on time and left the site tidy. They kept to the quote even though the job involved extras. We would highly recommend them. A delight to work with!
I have 34 years experience in property maintenance, specialising in plastering, brickwork repairs, roof repairs, fencing.
The stud wall put in is very uneven having a big bump from ceiling to floor where two walls meet the stud. They did both walls so it’s totally their fault. I would say Bryan is an okay plasterer but it was an absolute mess and very sloppy. i now have had other plasterers So know what it’s supposed to look like. I had never had a wall plastered before. He refused to give me an invoice. He asked me to pay into his wife’s account. It was all very bizzarr. I would not recommend & would say be wary.

Ryan responded to the job listing very quickly, and came round next day to inspect the roof. He then provided a written quote within a few hours. The quote was very competitive, and we thought Ryan was friendly and knew what he was talking about, so we decided to go with him. He then came round the next day - a Saturday - to fix the roof tiles, and he did an excellent job of matching the missing ridge tiles and rear tiles. We would definitely consider using Ryan and Direct Improvements again in the future.
