We can't recommend Arbiter Coatings enough! Bill was extremely helpful right from the quote stage to completion of the work. He offered us a solution to covering up the fake stone front of our home to give us the exact result we had hoped for when no-one else could. Ryan responded to the job listing very quickly, and came round next day to inspect the roof. He then provided a written quote within a few hours. The quote was very competitive, and we thought Ryan was friendly and knew what he was talking about, so we decided to go with him. He then came round the next day - a Saturday - to fix the roof tiles, and he did an excellent job of matching the missing ridge tiles and rear tiles. We would definitely consider using Ryan and Direct Improvements again in the future.

The decking is sagging and moves every time you walk on it which we have to do to get out of the garden. The step also rocks when walked upon. The wood was left cracked in areas and there are some miss cuts. The concrete was undertaken during torrential rain and has resulted in constant dusting being trailed onto the decking and subsequently into the house. The concrete ran down the length of the driveway and cannot be removed. Phoned to complain 3 weeks ago and heard nothing further.

Gerald installed a new felt flat roof for us on a Tenanted property in Nov 2020, with a 10 year guarantee. In early Feb 2021 we noticed serious water ingress through the roof, due to the felt being incorrectly laid and un-bonded. We've just had another roofer install an entirely new roof at considerable expense. Gerald has refused to address the issue or to honour his guarantee in anyway. We're currently pursuing him for a refund through the Small Claims Court. DO NOT USE HIS SERVICES.
