****Builders from hell- Stay well away *** Robbed me of 70K left my house in a totally destroyed state and an open roof. Used constant threats to extort money. The little work that was carried out, no building control approval was sought and work done was substandard and had to be redone. Left the work once I informed building control and declined to return back, comply with inspection, rectify the work or provide any refund despite providing a work evaluation by an independent quantity surveyor.
I’m a fully qualified plumber and drainage engineer with over 10 years’ experience in the trade. After completing my plumbing certification, I spent 6 years working as a drainage engineer, specialising in unblocking and repairing drainage systems, using CCTV equipment to identify defects, and providing detailed reports for customers. I’ve also installed UPVC drainage systems and septic tanks, giving me a wealth of experience in both domestic and commercial drainage work. Since 2020, I’ve expanded into the building sector, working on a range of projects including excavating footings, setting out for concrete, installing windows and doors, plasterboarding, and fitting bathrooms. Hi, I'm Gary Korab, and I'm a fully trained carpenter/joiner, and locksmith, with 25 years experience. I have completed the level 3 Advanced Modern Apprenticeship at college, along with the City & Guilds awards and many other certificates. I do still work in the carpentry and joinery trade, but I'm slowly merging my business to focus just on the locksmithing trade, and emergency boarding services. This includes fixing windows, doors, etc. Upvc, steel, and timber are all included. Breaking locks, lock replacement or repair, mechanism replacement or repair, handle replacement or repair, espagnolette replacement or repair, and adjusting window openers and doors that don't open well anymore, or not at all. Most of the time the window or door will just need adjusting, and I also offer a full service as well, which keeps your windows and doors working well for longer. Emergency boarding includes windows that have been damaged, or the glass smashed/missing, and doors that have been damaged, or the glass smashed/missing. All of the materials I use are of the highest standard. I always supply samples of tiles or slates to ensure we get what suits best for your property and price range. I also do new build houses from wall plate to finish and fit fascia boards and soffits. Other jobs we regularly complete include full loft Conversions and replacement of old roof windows due to them becoming drafty or if they have been fitted for 25 years and over and need a upgrade. All of my jobs are completed to a high standard and come with a 10 year warranty.
