George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. They also had all the necessary tools and materials, were ready to buy something additional quickly on the day - if further adjustments were required to fit everything as I asked. Dean did work on our house, and the jobs that we asked him to do were done to a very high standard. George Bell came to work on some damp related issues in my flat in feb. since having completed the works the problems which first occurred have turned worse and George has been unwilling to get back in contact with me, despite chasing him for 5 months which only reaffirms that the job was poorly undertaken. Asked for roofer...to clean gutters and sort leak out in roof..ended up with a young lad...who brought ladders that did not reach the roof..told me he would jet wash roof, come with his dad sort problem out...at the end mr Vespa plastering was not a roofer...didnt bring jet wash..told me he's not a roofer...didn't fully clean the guttering didn't put the clips on guttering and didnt see where the leak was coming from..our problem still unresolved ...then tells me he only deals in fascias and soffits

Unfortunately Val has let me down, spent the day ripping up previous flooring, furniture outside under the gazebo, texted him to confirm all ready at 17h45 that night, his reply was that he was now abroad on a family emergency. He could have told me this sooner, surely?! Airport lounge at the latest?! Sorry, no recommendation from me, communication is key.

Came out to quite rapidly and price seemed decent. So many reasons not to make agreed time to do work across a month, until I finally gave in trying to get him to do the work. Me chasing night before to be told wouldn’t be there next day, as opposed to him letting me know.
Gave a good impression when he came to price up the work. After the work was completed there were issues with the overall standard of the finish and also a problem with a specific aspect of the work. Tried to contact him in order for this to be corrected but he did not answer my calls or respond to messages. Had to get someone else to put it right. I would not recommend this tradesman.
