I’m a self employed tradesman who specialises in a wide variety of property repairs, maintenance and improvements. I have been in the trades for over 10 years and have extensive knowledge on many areas ranging from roofing down to groundworks. Sadly, an initially pleasant experience soured after asking for a receipt/written confirmation of agreed guarantee. Work appeared to be carried out to a good standard (as far as I could tell). Unfortunately, despite promising on the day that he would email me a receipt the following day, nothing was forthcoming. After subsequent promises, still nothing. Tom's stopped responding and/or blocked me - all to avoid sending a receipt for some reason! Cannot recommend on the basis of post-work exprience.
I accepted an offer for building work. PT Solutions did not turn up to carry out the work neither did they give any reason for this.

Graham fixed my outdoor Christmas lights, but we didn’t test them before he left. I specifically requested roof gutter lights, which required a tall ladder. Later, the gutter lights didn’t work. After paying a significant amount, I politely asked Graham to return. His shocking response was that he couldn’t come until Tuesday, there’d be an extra charge, and suggested I ask a neighbor or window cleaner. His lack of empathy and care was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend him due to his indifferent attitude.

Shaun came out within days to investigate and did a repair job on the spot which hopefully will be the solution to my problems. I will monitor the situation once it rains to check if the repair has worked. This could potentially save me a lot of money by not having to strip that part of the roof. Lovely friendly decent chap.

The plumber Completed my bathroom, there was a leak under the bath. I called the plumber and he said he would be here on Friday to fix it. After a week I am still waiting. Been calling and texting the guy everyday but no reply. Terrible service from them!

They replied quickly and commenced work 2 days after receiving quote. Turned up on time farther an son working together very polite. Whole job cost £900 for painting and some rendering of front and back of terraced house and there was a few bits of woodwork which was overlooked. It took them two days and it seemed to be rushed at end so hence the overlook of arch by front door.

These young people appeared as promised and undertook a contract of work. They were very likeable young men. Sadly it became apparent that they couldn’t fulfill the job they agreed to do. Indeed it saddens me to say that they did a bit more damage than they fixed. They did promise to rectify this but I haven’t seen them in a fortnight. So whilst I would be glad to see them again. I don’t think I will.
