Tips for future: Please do not go over dirty silicone with new ones without cleaning or removing the old ones. In future always provide your customers with a written quotation specifying the work. First time I've engaged a tradesman after becoming a homeowner. Explained exactly what needed to be done and why (shows me evidence of various bit clogging up thanks to limescale) kept me informed when he was going to be late (this was down the snowy conditions) all work done on time and as expected things work so much easier now. I am a reliable, trust worthy, tidy sole tradesman, happy to quote and carry out any job, I was previously employed by British Gas before taking the opportunity to become self employed as I find working for myself a better long term career choice.
Really disappointed with Callan. He did not have the competence for the job as the central heating system was more complex than he had seen before. This is not my complaint though. My complaint is that he did not fully tighten a valve in the hot water pipe which runs through my garage so nearly flooded it and he left the bed rooms completely without any heat - none of the upstairs radiators work now and he took one of the valves. That's either theft or just absent mindedness. He also doesn't return calls.
