Unfortunately, Ben tried to add on an £80.00 additional charge at the end of the job. This had not been mentioned at all during the two day job and I was very disappointed that this was how he chose to conduct business instead of being upfront in his approach. On first impressions the job seemed good and to a high standard. However, on a closer inspection there were a number of areas, which were harder to reach, that they decided not bother with, and which we finished off ourselves. I would not use this company again.
I have 0ver 39 years experience in all aspects of painting & decorating, I hang all types of wall coverings,& I can apply all paint finishes, Also I have a number of years experience in French polishing & wood finishes, I can turn my hand to almost anything that requires help in completing the work on schedule from small carpentry work,Tiling ,small electrical work to putting all the final fixtures & fittings up, Flat pack furniture assembly ,curtain poles, shelving. TV Brackets etc. I pride myself on being reliable & carrying out all work to a very high standard & keeping all areas clean & tidy throughout the whole redecorating program. Lawrence & sons) which began building and contracting in 1903. CSCS cards (Construction safety) and DRB checks held, plus all necessary liability insurances . City and Guilds trained at Bucks University College in cabinet making. Recommendation "We have recently employed NML Contracts to undertake work on our house of a challenging nature and for which the usual jobbing builder and plumber declined to quote. NML Contracts have demonstrated skills and initiative in dealing with the unexpected and produced a thoroughly satisfactory and pleasing result which has materially improved the attractiveness and serviceability of the house . The work included incorporating a porch into the lounge area , requiring an RSJ some 4.4m in length, In the course of construction t was found that the roof was concrete and was supported by the outer skin of the house, whereas the roof of the house was conventional timber and was supported by the inner skin. It was therefore necessary to use the RSJ to support the concrete and provide suitable timber supports for the main roof . This was done most expertly and quickly and was approved by the building inspectors. All energy conservation requirements were fully met . The work also included two en suite bathrooms for which pumped drainage was necessary " Satisfied customer , D.G.W.
I hired NML contracts to refit my bathroom. The result is simply stunning. We’re so happy with it. Nigel was friendly, easy to work with and took great care to keep things neat and tidy during the works. We will use NML for a larger renovation job we have soon.
