Between the 4 of us at Griggs Home Improvements we carry - - NVQ Level 3 carpentry. - NVQ level 3 Bricklaying. - CITB Health & Safety awareness. - Construction management diploma. - Total of over 35 years building experience between us. Griggs Home Improvements mainly specialise in Extensions, Loft conversions and refurbishments from start to finish. We cover everything from pouring footings to plastering the walls. With over 25 years of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and project management experience on multi million pound projects our aim is to provide the best quality per project budget. Projects are priced to allow us to have your job done with care and so a 10 year craftsmanship warranty can be provided. With this in mind we have a very open and transparent pricing matrix so you are fully aware how price so that any extra works that you might want doing is fair and reasonable. We believe an informed client is in everyones bests interest, so we will actually sit down with you, go over your remit and when necessary ask questions on design, build and equipment that we feel you might also need. We have found that in the past this allows you to have as close to a final price prior to agreeing to have the works done thus meeting expectations were reasonable practicable. My working life started when I was 11 where I helped to rebuilt a luscumbe silvare 8e light aircraft and a triumph TR6, at 13 I started working at a family theme park where I undertook maintenance tasks until the age of 19; in this time I worked on hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical timer systems. The knowledge I gained was amazing and very interesting. I went to college at the age of 17 where I studied full time as an electrician, plumber, carpenter and electronics engineer, this has allowed my professional career to be an eclectic mix within the construction industry. I rather enjoy doing some intricate work where a high level of detail is required, but I am also happy doing odd small jobs too.

Stewart my work partner and myself Adam, combined have over 60 years experience in the building industry. We run a small friendly team of committed guys that have everyone in mind when it comes to health and safety and maintaining a clean and tidy work site with minimal disruption while works commence. Our primarily trades are carpentry/joinery, bricklaying, plumbing, plastering and landscaping. however Stewart and i alone have served lengthy apprenticeships with our fathers and right from the off have turned our hands to all aspects of the building trade. Very pleased with newly installed sliding patio doors. The 2 gentlemen who installed it, were polite,friendly and helpful. They left the area clean and tidy. There was a slight problem with the lock, and they duly reported it to Louis Harbison. He came today to replace it but the barrel of the lock seems ok now. He is keeping the replacement barrel in case I have any more trouble. I would recommend this company for any work to be done
