Initially I was employed in the family business where i had the opportunity to learn the skills needed to build and renovate properties including brickwork, plastering, decorating and carpentry. .Woodwork has always been a passion of mine along with an interest in art, craft and design. With this in mind I studied Furniture Make and Design at Rycotewood Furniture School in Oxford as a mature student where I was able to develop my design and woodworking skills to a higher level. Attention to detail and working to a high standard are important to me. Equally important is a professional attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with the client to ensure customer satisfaction. I am able to take on larger projects if required and employ other trades if necessary.

When embarking on a large project (in this case a substantial house extension) you want to be reassured that as well as good communication throughout the job, the quality of work will be of the highest and that best efforts are made to bring the job in on time and as near as possible on budget. My wife and I were very impressed on all these fronts and would heartily recommend the AJR team. We were very impressed with Dan’s attention to detail, standard of workmanship and care taken. We were happy with the original installation but it is a tribute to Dan that he identified an issue and came back to do more work until he was satisfied it was just right. Dan kept us informed of progress and was very pleasant to deal with. When we had an issue with planning permission Dan provided detailed drawings of the sash window specifications. No hesitation in recommending. Windows look lovely.

We hired Ionut to lay some decking and build two planters and some bench seating as well as landscape the garden and laying a new lawn. Ionut and his team did an exceptional job - the work is very neat and professional and we ended up with a great finish. They were polite, respectful and worked very hard.
