Had a window and front door fitted by Nation Windows. Overall the experience was good. The new fitting has made such a difference to our hallway. When they came to fit the window and door, Sunny and his fitters immediately put down dust sheets. We found them to do a clean job and were very polite throughout. Avoid A1 Trading at all costs, he did an extremely poor job on relaying my kitchen roof. A bread and butter job for any decent builder but this one couldn’t seem to grasp the basics. Poor quality of workmanship means I still have a leaky roof. He also lied about forwarding the receipt by saying he would email it to me but now he now won’t answer my texts or return my calls so he’s also done a runner. I’m retired in my 70’s and view this ‘tradesperson’ like a criminal, A1 Trading deserves 0 stars.

Reasonable job but following issues. 1) Expensive maybe 30% higher than competition feel ripped off. 2) wall corners are showing large cracks after only 1 week. 3) I had to ask for them to clean up after themselves and also put dust sheets down at the start. 4) Offered hose so they could mix away from the house, but they refused and proceeded to mix holding bucket up the wall damaging my box hedging. 5) rendered walls have not been done below skirting board level, so i need to fill gaps myself in the wall.

True to his word, he came on time and with all the tools required to complete the job. We were a little concerned as we had never used the platform nor met him prior. A guy called Michael showed up, gave it all the large talk about what he would do. Gave him an address for another project also out of goodwill so he didn’t have to buy another lead. Promised to get back to me despite promising me he would return that week to do the work. Instead just ignored every phone call and message. He kept mentioning about wanting to do it in the evening…. This was impossible as it was a shopfront. Absolutely no balls, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
