J Max Gas & Plumbing Ltd responded to my job spec within 5 minutes of posting it and was able to pop by within a couple of hours the same day with a very competitive quote. As it turned out, the job was not as easy as initially thought. However, J Max persisted and even came back the following day (a Saturday) to finish the job off, making sure all was well and the area cleaned up nicely. Would I use these guys again? Yes I would ????

Paid £650 to damp proof a small area next to my patio door and as at today the area is still wet. Contacted Michael numerous times as he said that the work is guaranteed for 10 year and I can contact him anytime if there is any issues but I’ve had no response. Will write this one off as a bad experience and will get a reputable company to correct it. I will not be using this company again and would not recommend as I don’t believe that damp proofing is something that he does.

Came and offered a reasonable quote on bathroom refurb. The job was done in 4 days, which was acceptable, however when replacing the boards on the floor it's become apparent, after needing to replace a light in the kitchen below, that lots of rubble had been left under the new floorboard I.e. above the kitchen ceiling. Their were no sealant on top of the wall panels which I've had to do. The floor he laid had to be taken up as not only was it bumped up in places he'd also cut it short and lied about it

Michael installed a new unvented hot water cylinder , he did a first class job, explained every step and the result is constant hot water at mains pressure which has certainly improved our showers. The job took slightly longer than originally planned however all work was completed for quoted price. Great job many thanks
