Thank you so much Przemek. One of the lights was not easy to fit and had to have a bit of 'adjustment' to make it hang straight. The other one needed rewiring as it turned out to be faulty. as mentioned in my previous comment but not elaborated on ,the ' problem ' was blistering of the plaster that was already evident before the decorating started.
