The low rating refers to Storm Guard R&G whose quote I accepted. But, 4 men came; 2 from Cheshire Roofing Repairs who did good work & I score them high. But, Storm Guard overcharged & did minimal sitework & then pressurised for payment (+ threatened to remove materials!). Storm Guard have several company names & an initial quote with no heading or phone (& only a Rated People website, spelt wrong!), and my bank suspected, so delayed payment. Advise just using Cheshire RR!

Truly awful experience. The garage conversion was ok (bar the space around the electrical back boxes being stuffed with newspaper) but the flat refurbishment was a disaster. It started ok but as the tasks became more complex, the quality of work declined. The kitchen needed 3 fits, the bathroom has had to be rebuilt, the wiring has dropped into the walls, the joinery is execrable and the radiators don’t work. The job also took 16 weeks rather than 8.

He and his team arrived on time every day and got straight to work, which was very reassuring. The entire team worked diligently, maintaining a steady pace. If I had not found a tradesman with immediate availability, it may well have worked out differently.
