Used GR building to re slate my roof. after 3 weeks 2 slates came off. Repeatedly rang and left messages and he finally came back to sort it out after not appearing the first date given. 3 more slates have just come off. Even taking into account the strong winds I find it unacceptable that this can happen. I will not be asking him it sort it this time as I have no confidence he will do the job correctly and have made alternative arrangements.

The job was to lay a new flat roof which Cam Builders did and seemed to do a good job, nine months later in December the bathroom roof came in, plasterboard was soaking, the OSB the builder fitted was also soaking, called the builder and came out to see the job, the builder then covered the roof with a plastic sheet and said if it doesn't leak again it's got to be the roof, it didn't leak again so phoned him to come back and do the job I paid for, it has now been 5 months and still no repair done, AVOID

Daniel came out to give a quote, friendly, reasonable price, arrived on time and job was completed to my satisfaction. Carpet protectors laid down, all mess removed and cleaned up. Lovely guy would recommend and rehire if I need work done in the future.

Don't hire - he quotes price (that then increases once he's started work), doesn't show up for weeks on end - despite promises to come, Then, after payment, disappears and ghosts the customer leaving the job unfinished - AVOID!

Luke gave a decent quote for some roof, paving & fence work. What they did complete was good, but they did not finish the job. Communication was very frustrating and I had to constantly chase for updates. I stupidly paid the full balance after the garden was complete, but before the roof work was. It's now 9 weeks on & despite repeated assurances that they will come back (and me offering a further £200 to complete the roof work), I do not believe they intend to return. 3/5
