It's that time of year.roofing guttering and repair. I have 28 years experience in the building trade. I started out training as a stonemason which lead to general building and am qualified in both. Please see pics for examples of some of my work. I will take on work ranging from small maintenance jobs up to extensions and house builds and anything in between. Brick/stone walls, rendering, fencing, patios, garage conversions, roof repairs to name a few. GKMC Building Services has just repointed the south westerly wall of our house, the finished job is fantastic it looks like new. Their meticulous attention to detail is perfect. They cleaned up afterwards and you would not know they had been here. So friendly, well done Gary and your team.

Within 2 hours of posting my job, which involved replacing some of the wooden cladding on my front door canopy, Steve phoned to say he was interested in the job. He came the next day and I accepted his very reasonable quote. He came early on the agreed day to start the work which was completed by mid day. Any mess that was made was duly cleaned up and he even made an additional repair to a guttering down pipe. Workmanship was first class. Highly recommended.

The building work that D and A Services conducted on my behalf was satisfactory and the people themselves were helpful doing additional bits of work that required attention and buying my choice of paint. However I was very disappointed with the quality of the paintwork that finished off the project. Particularly as I had specified that only professional tradesmen should apply. It was apparent that painting is not within their skill set and I now have had to hire professional painters to put things right.

Tony and his sons came to us to do a fairly small renovation. By the time we had finished adding things on to their list they were with us for over 2 weeks. They took changes in their stride, with good humour and also suggested ways we could save time and money whilst still achieving the look we wanted. And most importantly they were hard working, trustworthy and clean - tidying and wiping down every night before they left. We were so impressed, we have now asked Tony to build our extension.
A very reliable, hardworking, clean and tidy couple of young men ( very hard to find today). Nothing too much trouble for them and very eager to please. Would have no hesitation in recommending to others. Although our wall seemed only a smallish job (front garden wall) the work carried out was first class.
