I was given a quote for the work. After the guttering was removed, I was told that there was too much mortar under the hip which would have to be removed and the soffit reconnected. I was charged double the original quote. The gutter still leaks so I messaged them to come back. He said he would return but I have not heard from him since.

We contacted Mr Bone in April and paid him a 50% deposit (£1000) after he quoted a 5 week lead time. He kept postponing the date until in September we cancelled the job and asked for our money back. Despite receiving £200 he again failed to live up to promises to repay the remainder. We have issued a small claims court order and also a county court judgment against Mr Bone. A very disappointing experience

Had a window and front door fitted by Nation Windows. Overall the experience was good. The new fitting has made such a difference to our hallway. When they came to fit the window and door, Sunny and his fitters immediately put down dust sheets. We found them to do a clean job and were very polite throughout. Zamir is a complete time waster. Took my 50% deposit, then cancelled 30 minutes before he was due to arrive. We rearranged a second visit: he didn't turn up at all that day, nor did he replied to my phone calls, SMSs, WhatsApp messages, or emails. Got an apologetic email from him the next day, and he returned my deposit on my request. However, I lost 2 whole days waiting for him, and will have to wait another few weeks until the job can be done in the new year (by another tradesman, of course).
