We accepted an estimate to fix our roof for about £2,000 After they started work they said that they had found that the roof was in a far worse condition than they had thought. It ended up costing us £6,000 It was simpler to let them finish and go than to argue or sue them [ Not a nice experience We very very carful of these builders if you employ them .

Karl took out our old cement fillet and replaced it with lead flashing. He did a great job at a fair price and was very helpful throughout - even helping me get some spare tiles from the attic to replace ones that had been ruined by the old cement. He completed the roofing task assigned and gave a 7 year warranty. But there was a significant leak the very next day when it rained. I have called severally for the leaks to be repaired based on the warranty but my calls and messages have been ignored.

The person that attended on site Joseph appeared polite at start but once the job started he never attended site and his workers were not following minimum safety practices i.e. transferring heavy OBS boardings on a ladder. The quote included removing old roofing including firrings only to find out that they quicky started boarding up with the existing firrings which were rotten. At the end I had to stop the job and was asked to pay 2000 £ for materials that was not provided with sufficient receipts for.
