George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. Very slow, gave me anxiety and sleepless nights, took nearly 2 weeks to complete putting in new stair rails, would only pay on a daily rate hence the time taken. When another job came in he literally chucked the wood flooring down, never seen him move so quick. Job unfinished, but I didn't want him back.

I'll start with a positive - quality of build was good. Negatives, was told 2 weeks - 5 months later still not completed (3m x 1m shed and some of it was already in place) and had to get another company to finish it at more expense. Was charged for time in sourcing materials, was told it could be completed within my budget when I increased it by £500 and now he is saying I still owe him more money. Took/disposed of quarry tiles I said I wanted. I wont be using him again
Tiled our kitchen floor and made a disgusting job of it. Floor not even, corners sticking up, uneven gaps between tiles, used all the tiles but didn't do under cooker and dishwasher as asked and measured for. Will not return to sort out the job, they've promised to come sort it twice and both times haven't showed up, now won't reply to our messages. Would've been happier putting he money down the toilet!

I want to rate 0 but I don’t have that option because this tradesman doesn’t deserve one star. He left the job undone after we paid him thinking he will complete the job. We have called his phone every day and have gotten no response, he doesn’t reply his text messages. Quite frankly we are considering legal action against this tradesman. He had the keys to our home for one month and still did not complete the a job that would take him one week. Any advice on how to take legal action? 100% unprofessional
