My career in roofing began in 1978, predominately on new build developments. In 1987, although continuing with the new builds, I began to branch out into domestic roofing. This included re-roofs, extensions, repairs and leak investigation. Alongside this, in 2010 I took a Contracts Manager position with a national roofing company, In this role I am responsible for the labour and materials required for various developments in the South East. It is also part of my role to oversee the customer service team. My contacts within the industry enable me to obtain very competitive prices on materials. Hired to do some external painting, and jet-washing of paved area. The former was well executed, the latter not so well. Arbitrarily changed attendance days/times almost on a daily basis. Fairly clueless when it came to tidying up after the jobs. Still awaiting a final clear-up.
