Shah was so reliable, experienced and polite. He made suggestions that helped us without pressuring us into anything or imposing on us. We hired Philip to tile our bathroom and box in our bath. We are now spending the last couple of days regrouting, resealing and spent £400 on wood which hasn't been fitted flush as we'd asked. He can tile, slightly odd is his wife coming to check the grouting mid job....but wouldn't employ him to do woodwork or indeed anything technical again.

Job done in a friendly and considerate way, and we liked the result. Issues which arose (e.g. water coming through ceiling below two evenings after they'd left) were rectified, and snags at the end were dealt with promptly. Cleaning up was fairly good but not perfect - tiles needed quite a bit of further scraping, scouring and buffing to remove traces of grout and adhesive. But altogether perfectly satisfied that we got what we paid for.

Pip is an excellent all rounder but is inclined to spend too much time on tasks if not supervised, which can be costly if employed on a day rate. In my experience, Pip should make more effort to separate his tools from others in order to avoid confusion of ownership.
