George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. They also had all the necessary tools and materials, were ready to buy something additional quickly on the day - if further adjustments were required to fit everything as I asked. George Bell came to work on some damp related issues in my flat in feb. since having completed the works the problems which first occurred have turned worse and George has been unwilling to get back in contact with me, despite chasing him for 5 months which only reaffirms that the job was poorly undertaken. Would never use again, failed to complete job after refusing to return after being denied a payment that was outside the agreed payment plan (i.e. final payment on satisfactory completion). Work days were very short, generally arriving about 10am and gone by 3pm, hence job took longer than expected so this may the reason for his demand for payment outside the agreed schedule. Standard of finish to work that was done was average at best and in some cases poor.

Really poor experience it’s now 6 months and kitchen still not finished I’ve given up Still waiting for certs for electrical works honestly don’t use they are lovely guys but take on too much work and don’t finish anything

Facts are you were asked to leave after taking advice from other tradesman and building control that observed your work in detail, you broke your own building contract, you tried pulling a fast one trying to charge us twice with your supplier for the staircase, which doesn’t meet building regs as the roof is not to drawing - I can go on, but to call yourself a trustworthy builder that for sure is incorrect and the tradespeople who are finishing this job are testament to that.

Took 4 months to repair water damage to living room ceiling. Small damp testing holes left unfilled in walls. After 6 months they are either unable or unwilling to give me the value of the insurance claim for me to get new policy quotes. Regretfully I cannot recommend using this company.
This tradesman's? standard of work is appalling & I can only assume his Rated People reviews are false. We had no option but to dismiss him after he ruined our lounge. The numerous faults eg. large gaps above bay window, uneven walls, plastering abysmal. His cleaning up was non-existent & left my home in a disgraceful mess, cement and plaster covering our wooden floor & doors. We had to hack off all his work and start again! This has cost us dearly, not to mention the stress. RATED PEOPLE? I DONT THINK SO!

Excellent work very reliable. No additional charges from the quote given which was very competitive. Finished in a reasonable time, even did few minor jobs in addition. Also cleaned up well when finished. Would definitely use for other jobs.
I would recommend simon to anyone, very honest and exstreamily reliabill. Done a fantastic job. Was quoted £98 by another tradesman, to replace a shower.
