SMK turned up promptly after I posted the leaking bathroom ceiling following Storm Ciaran last November. The roof repair/ceiling work was agreed to be no more than £15,800. The scaffolding went up but within 48 hrs they discovered rotten wood under the tiles and the quote doubled another £15k. They demanded the extra money but after £8,450 I called a halt. They said they had replaced the woodwork but there are woodworm visible rafters. The guttering and ceilings are incomplete.

I have been left a flat with unsatisfactory gradient which doesn't allow water to run off, which is leaving pooling of water on a corner. Came out to look at job & quoted me. I text him the following day to accept the quote, he promised to come out end of following week. Didn't turn up, so I hired someone else as job needed doing asap. Not impressed by this company.
Following initial problems with the work, the roofing guys returned to put right the shortfalls which closed the job satisfactorily. However I had to oversee the work completion myself via Google Translate due to no instructions and poor communications to the work team. I am very pleased to finally conclude the job, but still await receipt for full payment made. RG24

Turned out to be a huge job in the end and project escalated which I was given full explanations and photo evidence of. Job timelines could have been better but could not fault work quality. Guys who carried out the work very polite and discussed what they were doing if anything needed consulting on to make sure I was happy.
