George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. They also had all the necessary tools and materials, were ready to buy something additional quickly on the day - if further adjustments were required to fit everything as I asked. Stephens is a very accomplished cabinet maker. We have a team of reliable trades people who compliment our services, who all have the same work ethos, getting the job done, on time to an excellent standard. All of our trades people are fully qualified and Stephen is Chartered member of the Institute of Building, which involves a rigorous application process.
An excellent job, let down only slightly by taking too much time to get the job right. I would certainly recommend SMG if you want craftsmanship quality.

-10 Do not use a guy from Grimsby called Ryan. Felted small shed roof, very few roofing tacks used and was not sealed down. No removal of old felting only patched up. Blown off within TWO Weeks was a total Botched Up Job, quoted £500 then told needed another £200 after job done...Just taken advantage of an elderly man.

Dale and his team were brilliant. The schedule was set out and agreed in advance and adhered to pretty much to the day. The different trades turned up as planned and each one was excellent. We are delighted with the workmanship and the finished kitchen and would thoroughly recommend Dale, particularly with his experience of fitting Wren kitchens.

Came and visited measured up and said would get back to me with a price. Shook handsthis clearly doesn't mean anything to them. I got the price by text. I agreed and said by text I needed someone you can rely on. The reply by text was you can rely on us we agreed a date and time, I took time off work, I rang emailed and left a voice mail and text to see where they were when they didn't show.I'm still waiting, they are not even polite enough to let me know they couldn't come or didn't want the job.
When I was told that Mark and his team would be at our house before we left for work at 7am, I couldn't believe it! But they stuck to their word; they showed up early, did a fantastic job and cleaned up after themselves. Would definitely recommend them.

these guys havn.t a clue .. overcharged.. had massive leek after they had been coming through kitchen ceiling. they came back out. and supposed to have fixed their mistake. 15 min later still leaking ... never picked up my calls .. then they turner their phone off. . job finished by another plumber I had to call. all it needed was new waste pipe. 90 pound job cost me 220. don't let these plumbers loose on your plumbing.....

Luke gave a decent quote for some roof, paving & fence work. What they did complete was good, but they did not finish the job. Communication was very frustrating and I had to constantly chase for updates. I stupidly paid the full balance after the garden was complete, but before the roof work was. It's now 9 weeks on & despite repeated assurances that they will come back (and me offering a further £200 to complete the roof work), I do not believe they intend to return. 3/5
