Hi Tanya , Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience , all is not lost though as its quite easy to install a new damp proof course after the build with little or no disruption , depending on the severity of the rising damp , what area do you live in ? we are Nottingham based , if you post your job I will keep and eye out for it Regards Craig
