George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. We were very happy with the work done by Dan and his team at Akoni Construction. I had a 20m2 porcelain patio laid which looks fantastic. They also had the expertise for a second job I added to pebbledash a wall on our rear extension, which now matches the rest of the house perfectly. This job was started February 2021 and still hasn't been completed. Whilst the work that has been completed seems good, I am having difficulty getting hold of the gentleman, workers are not coming when he says they are, and generally everything is at a standstill

Avoid at all cost, nothing but problems with the bathroom since it was finished back in April. Our bath wasn’t sealed properly which caused a big leak. We tried 5 times to contact them to rectify the problem and nothing even though we knew he had seen the message in Whatsapp. Also the trim wasn’t neat and was told he would come back out to sort it out. We’ve recently discovered that our extraction fan wasn’t installed properly which has now lead to our ceiling being damp and covered in mould.

Its sometimes hard to find a builder who you can feel you can trust as you hear so many bad stories. So I'm happy to help any future customers of Gregory tick that box when they are considering using him. Simply put, hes an honest guy. Not once did he try to pull the wool over my eyes and operated with complete transparency. No build goes without a few hitches and mine was no exception, but when we had problems they were quickly overcome. When we did fall a little behind schedule effort was doubled and his team put in 10 our shifts and worked weekends to get back on track, at no extra cost to me. If you are looking for a tradesman that puts in the ours and at a competitive price then you would do well to ask him to quote.
