Craig got in touch quickly, gave me a rough estimate over the phone and answered all my questions. Surveyor arrived on time, gave instant quote. Price was good. Michael and (another) Craig turned up to do the job on the day, time given. Good, tidy job. Can't fault anything, from start to finish!! Would recommend!

George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. They also had all the necessary tools and materials, were ready to buy something additional quickly on the day - if further adjustments were required to fit everything as I asked. John did do a good job when he decided to turn up. However, he was not reliable and would always ask for money upfront..Also , he never came back to finish the job, even though he was paid to.

Family run business. Have been a bricklayer for 30 years and now my son has followed in my foot steps. I have always been proud of my work especially conservation. I have recently joined rated people because I have had enough of the site work and feel its time to slow down and offer my experience to private work. I have done private work in the past and always ensured works were completed on time,at a reasonable rate and took pride in my work. I am a registered company and can be found on company house. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jeff Payne of South West Stone to anyone. Mr Payne was punctual. Mr Payne was a pleasure to have working at my home. The bonus was that he thoroughly cleaned up any mess he made which was indeed minimal! Nothing was too much trouble and he was extremely helpful. The work done appears to be all I wanted. Overall I am very pleased.

Outstanding - it's as simple as that. Honest, diligent and real craftsmen who take the time to explain everything beforehand to ensure you get exactly what you want. Very competitively priced, they proved willing to go the extra mile and have true pride in their work. Reliable and very personable, they work hard to ensure a minimum of disruption and dirt/dust is carried through during the work. I would not hesitate in having the team back to do other work - I know it will be done right first time and honestly. Can't recommend highly enough.

Lee did an excellent job - he rendered the back of our house and did some internal plastering, as well as sorting out some problems with guttering and a leaking chimney. He was reliable and kept us informed throughout the work. He also did an excellent job of cleaning up after the work was completed.

David turned up at time we arranged, Quality of work was excellent. We requested a certain methods he had not done before so researched it and did a fantastic job. During the job if there was more than one way to do it, he explained the options and advised the best route. We would recommend David to do any carpentry work and will be using his services again.
