Steel Fabrication / Structural steelwork
Julian at Beauchief was both professional in his approach and diligent in his work. Communication was very good both talking through the job / options and during, with regular photos updating progress. I would have no hesitation in using him again.
Cellar & Basement Conversion
Job done as requested. Tidy and always arrived promptly.
Home Improvements
Julian (Jimmy) and his team were excellent,we have a severely disabled daughter and the work we needed was all interior for her. They worked around her very well. Timing was crucial, they were knocking on the door at 7.30am and working hard at 7.32am. All aspects of work was done to our satisfaction, building, electrical, plumbing and decorating. No problem at all recommending this team.
Wooden Cladding /Fascias/ Soffits
Awful. The builder I hired to put right Hill's work said: "[T]he section of board on the road side of the gable was very loose and posed significant potential danger.... [T]he barge-board and rafter were only being held on to the roof by two small screws... The only reason that it had not fallen off altogether was that the end of the barge-board was resting on the wall plate. The barge-board was not attached to the perlings, nor was it attached to the wall plate and the birdsmouth was seated incorrectly."

We advised the customer that a full scaffold should be erected and a full refurbishment of the verge board be done, instead they wanted us to carryout a cheap repair, fom ladders at 3 storey high, attaching the boards to the existing which was loose, sometimes you can only do what the customer will pay for!
Home Improvements
Price ended up higher than we'd hoped, but the project was tricky & the team worked hard. Julian was also helpful with advising on next self-build stage of our project. Overall would recommend as we trusted the level of competence.
