20yrs in the trades qualified plumber leaks, drips and blockages no problem all aspects of building works and maintenance considered.
Scheduled to come to my property the next day to fix boiler. Assured me that he would appear. Took me 4 hours by coach to come to my property in London next day only to be told that he could not do it. Very unethical. Cost me £500 per day time off as an IT contractor + £70 national express coach return ticket and waste of time. This guy named Daniel quoted slightly lower than others but I guess you get what you pay for - I would not use sole trader like this next time due to how unprofessional they can be.

It's important to understand how this company works. When you contact them because you need a tradesman , potentially urgently they will agree to provide a technician/engineer and they charge an up front fee (£120 in my case) and advise that their engineer will then charge £120 for the first hour and each hour thereafter. Factually correct. But what's actually happened here is they have simply passed your job to a third party and charged £120 for the privilege. Just a rip off really.
