Jacques came to install a shower screen and fix a light. Within hours, the shower screen fell and shattered because he failed to anchor it correctly. The light he fixed now only turns on but won’t turn off. Despite multiple calls from me and my tenants, he’s ignoring all contact. His high rating is misleading and possibly manipulated. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against using him. And because of him, i dot think i want to use rated people anymore

Reason for only a 3 star review is as follows. Didn’t rewire a light that said would as said shouldn’t be just plugged in to a socket and was included to be done in the quote. I messaged Chris as the lights timings not set up correctly even though he said he had to send me the instructions so I could do it and I saw him with the instructions but I never got any response so I had to spend time up a ladder sorting myself using guesswork. There were a couple of other issues but out of characters !!

Nobody answered my job again
Im a self employed electrician, i have been a member of rated people since 2013, my aim is to complete all of my work to a good standard whilst doing my best to keep the costs down, as i believe in repeat custom.
From calling to arriving was within a few days. The blown light transformers were fixed very quickly. It took a few weeks before paperwork for the electrical safety arrived. But everything we asked for was done.

Chris took this job on at short notice. Initially, we had requested just an EICR but when he attended he identified a fault with the wiring. He was able, again at short notice, to rectify the fault and install a new consumer unit ensuring that the wiring was up to standard. His communication throughout was good and he's a genuinely nice guy. I'd have no hesitation recommending Chris to anyone looking for professional electrical work.
