George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. Good competitive quote. Excellent team of workers. Our original plan was changed by a suggested improvement by Chris (who deserves extra praise) which turned out to be brilliant. Slight increase in the price due to the extra work but well worth it. Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to employ again if the quote was competitive. Three guys (in late twenties/ mid thirties) came along and sorted out the broken slate plus the chimney flashing and flaunched it (new one on me it is putting mortar around the chimney pots and top of chimney but I looked it up and that is the correct term) as age had caused mortar degradation around chimney as well. Result leak fixed no more problems now after recent rain showed photos before and after doing the job. Very pleasant guys if I have any more slate roof problems I know Michael is go to

He gives good prices, but in the end leaves you hanging. Luke replastered the whole house, but some of the work was sloppy. My living room wall is still covered with bumps, which he was supposed to fix before his dad redecorated. His dad painted right over them. This is just one of several problems. So then Luke asked for an early payment and that he would sort all the problems I raised and until then I can hold off 100 pounds. He has since buggered off. I call him, I now get voice mail.
