Available to do the job quickly, arrived at agreed time. Consulted at regular intervals to ensure progress was as required. Didn’t pressure into doing extra jobs for more money (not always the case). A good team who were all pleasant and friendly. Left the garden as neat and tidy as was possible. Happy with outcome, would use again.

Mark was great throughout the job, he came to view and provided a quote the same day. I cannot fault the work done, building us some new red brick steps, levelling ours and our neighbours path as well as rebuilding our Cotswold stone wall which had started to bow. Mark was friendly, polite and tidied/cleaned up at the end of each day. Mark was very efficient and had the job done in no time, but still with great care taken. I'd have no hesitation using Mark again or recommending him to others.

Family run business. Have been a bricklayer for 30 years and now my son has followed in my foot steps. I have always been proud of my work especially conservation. I have recently joined rated people because I have had enough of the site work and feel its time to slow down and offer my experience to private work. I have done private work in the past and always ensured works were completed on time,at a reasonable rate and took pride in my work. I am a registered company and can be found on company house. We've all heard about those builders that start a job and then disappear leaving it half done, never to return. Well Tom is definitely NOT one of those. He and his very friendly team always worked hard, were flexible around our needs and even did some weekends to ensure the build finished as close to the agreed finish date as possible. No project is without its hiccups, but Tom and his crew were incredibly solution focussed. If you want someone that cares about their work, give Tom and A1 Builders a call.

I highly recommend Martin. Using a Dorff machine to strip paint from external walls he was accurate in describing the outcome and I was highly satisfied.
