George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. Complete waste of time! Agreed on a price & date, he cancelled the first date the day before the job and rearranged for two weeks later. Tried contacting him in various ways the day before he was due to come round the second time and had no reply. He didn't turn up on the rearranged date and didn't even have the decency to call me to let me know he wasn't coming. Not impressed so would not recommend him!

George Bell came to work on some damp related issues in my flat in feb. since having completed the works the problems which first occurred have turned worse and George has been unwilling to get back in contact with me, despite chasing him for 5 months which only reaffirms that the job was poorly undertaken. Stephens is a very accomplished cabinet maker. We have a team of reliable trades people who compliment our services, who all have the same work ethos, getting the job done, on time to an excellent standard. All of our trades people are fully qualified and Stephen is Chartered member of the Institute of Building, which involves a rigorous application process.
An excellent job, let down only slightly by taking too much time to get the job right. I would certainly recommend SMG if you want craftsmanship quality.
