Plumber Lawrence lied to my tenant that her and her son were lucky to be alive because my boiler was dangerously killing them that carbon monoxide detector was faulty. He wanted to change the boiler. I gave the job to a different gas engineer and the inventory agent both confirmed that the carbon monoxide detector was fine and it is still in use. I lost my tenant and rent, Plumber Lawrence did the same trick in my other property a year ago.

He was able to source the necessary parts and completed the repair on the Sunday morning although was willing to do this earlier. The boiler has been running very smoothly ever since. He ignored my text & left half the panel working buttons, unusable after he finished saying don’t use them, they do nothing any way. He quoted £85 but charged £102. I paid what he quotes me. In England, VAT is included in the quoted price unless explicitly stated otherwise. Every quote I’ve paid before included VAT or clearly mentioned it. This isn’t the U.S., where tax is added afterward. For the sake of £17, you’ve lost a customer looking to buy a new boiler.
