He was able to source the necessary parts and completed the repair on the Sunday morning although was willing to do this earlier. The boiler has been running very smoothly ever since. I've been waiting for a full day of sunshine to check operation of the optimiser before adding review but it seems the sun not going to cooperate but seems to be fine so far.
